Awash In a Stream Of Movies

Any movie, any time. Is that too much to ask?
It’s technically possible. It’s what the people want. It will make the movie companies rich. And yet not a single legal source of movies — hotel, plane, pay-per-view, video store,
TV, Vudu box, Internet downloads, nothing — offers instant delivery of any movie you want.
comes close. It’s got the “any movie” part covered, since it

Race Pro Hands-On Preview (Xbox 360)

out in the cold. This decision really makes sense for the U.S.-heavy Xbox 360 market; there aren’t many of North American console owners that know—or care to know—about the world of FIA GT racing. “Give me NASCAR or give me death,” is the main racing credo in these here parts, unfortunately.
Picking up where THQ left off, however, is SimBin’s new partner, Atari—a publisher that’s not afraid of a thorough racing simulator (ie,
). The result Continue reading »

After Sony bashed Microsoft 's Xbox 360, calling it something that "lacks longevity" and stating that it's impossible for their
competitor to sell more Xbox 360 units than the PlayStation 3 due to Microsoft 's tendency to make consoles with short lifespans,
Microsoft has now responded.

Microsoft responds to Sony's recent Xbox 360 criticisms

by Stevie Smith - Jan 21 2009, 05:20
While resisting the temptation to (once again) lapse into tongue-in-cheek hyperbole surrounding the ‘handbags at dawn’ exchanges that Microsoft and Sony frequently engage in when it comes to their gaming hardware, we thought you may like to know Microsoft has responded to Sony’s latest bout of corporate posturing.
Specifically, comments made this week by Sony Computer Entertainment boss Kaz Hirai have Continue reading »

Way of the Samurai No Longer PlayStation-Exclusive; Coming to Xbox 360

Last November, Japan saw the PS3 release of Way of the Samurai 3, the latest title in a series I consider to be one of the most underrated PlayStation franchises. While the game
in its first month of release, it was doubtful we’d ever see a US localization due to the series’ historic underselling in the American market.
Now, though, there may be a new ray of hope. According to
), Way of the Samurai developer Spike is porting their game to Continue reading »

Has Nintendo changed the definition of 'gamer'?

February 16, 2009 11:37 AM PST
Dude, seriously. This isn't the first article you've written about how you don't think the Wii is fun. We get the point. That and you aren't alone. The hard core trad gamers aren't the ones playing the Wii. After Nintendo lost the last console round they looked at that market and basically decided that Sony and Microsoft could fight over the same old gamers all they wanted. Nintendo was going to go get other Continue reading »

The Netflix integration, to me, has been one of the most important features of the New Xbox Experience. Huge, according to Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter.
Pachter estimates that of the 800,000 Xbox 360 owners that own an Xbox 360, a quarter of them Continue reading »
